Acne – This is an infection that occurs on the skin, which is caused by changes and/or debris in the glands that are referred to as the “sebaceous glands”. When it comes to the most common type of acne, it is considered to be “acne vulgaris”. All in all, this is the most common type of acne. When an infection sets in as a direct result of acne, it results in redness and inflammation.

Acne Vulgaris – This is a condition in which the skin becomes inflamed due to the fact that eruptions have occurred around the pores and the hair follicles of the skin. This typically occurs when dead skin, oils, and other types of debris invade the pores and obstruct them.

Acne Rosacea – This is a skin condition that occurs that leads to the onset of pimples popping up on the facial area. It may also result in redness and even inflammation. Those that are considered to be fair skinned, are a bit more prone to having this issue. The ultimate cause to this tends to now lead towards damage from the sun. It is believed that the vessels that rest just below the surface of the skin gets damaged from the rays and the heat of the sun.

Acne Conglobata – This is actually considered to be a rare form of acne that occurs among several individuals. This is when an infection forms in a nodule that is identified just below the surface of the skin. Then, other nodules begin to occur, and somehow the nodules actually become linked. This is more prevalent in men than women, and often results in deep, seriously painful acne pimples that can be very uncomfortable for the sufferer of the condition.

Acne Fulminans – This type of acne is actually considered to be rare, but is seen most commonly in boys that are in their teenage years. The sores that the individual experiences with this type of acne are often referred to as “ulcerations”. It is most often made visible by quickly developing pimples on the back of the teen, as well as on the chest. It is common for scarring to appear with this type of acne.

Acne Scarring – Scarring with acne most often occurs when lesions are left behind due to the fact that acne sores were deep and infected. In some situations, acne scarring can actually be very severe.

Baby Acne – This type of acne typically affects newborns in the area of the cheeks and in the forehead. Many experts are lead to believe that this is a result of hormones that are maternal based. Generally, this type of acne disappears sometime during the first three to four months of life.

Nodulocystic Acne – When an individual has this type of acne, they typically experience deep pimples that resemble boils. This type of acne often consists of a serious inflammation.

Cystic Acne – This is often referred to as a rare form of acne that is serious in basis. The infection that occurs with this type of acne occurs when the oil pores in the skin become clogged.

Propionibacterium Acne – When an individual experiences this type of acne, it is a result of the bacteria that resides in the skin in the area of the fatty acids.

Inflammatory Acne – This occurs when pimples invade the skin that are a result of infections that inflammatory in basis.
